Football Meeting - Juniors and Sophomores only

Dear Parents and returning football players,

As I mentioned in our meeting with the kids on Monday I would like to meet with each of the returning Varsity and JV players next week; (November 21 – Nov. 23).

I have attached a schedule for next week for our meetings.

If a player cannot make the assigned meeting time, have them see me personally by Friday of this week so that we can make the necessary arrangements to meet.  It is the players responsibility to see me (no e-mails). We must meet next week prior to the Thanksgiving holiday break!

I am also attaching an evaluation form that each player is to look over and bring with them to their meeting.

Thank you  for your attention to this matter.

Attachments posted in right hand column.

Father/Son Day - Friday, November 4.
To all parents:

1) Dad's can come any time prior to the team meal - we usually eat @ 2:30 pm.
In year's past this day has got out of hand with pictures and socializing, etc... I do not want picture taking to take place at the pre-game meal or in the locker room prior to the game.  It is very distracting and causes the players to lose focus.

It is not supposed to be a "social" time for the dad's and the players.  The dad's are really there for observing, give them a pat on the back, handshake, or hug and observe what their player goes through prior to a game.  They are really supposed to be a "fly on the wall!"

Last week we finally got the kids to focus on the game during the pre-game time (2:00 - 7:00 pm) and we really want them to keep that focus.

2) Dad's may be at the locker room at 5:30 pm prior to pre-game.
We go out @ 5:42 with the specialists and 5:55 for the lineman.
Dad's can come on the field during warmups but must stay clear of players and coaches and stay on the sidelines.

3) Admission to the game:  all Dad's are to pay for admission to the game.  Please have them stop by the ticket booth and purchase a ticket prior to entering, even if they are early to the events. Dad's are not to enter the stadium with the players after the pre-game locker room time, they must enter through the proper stadium gates.

Please include the above in your e-mail and make sure that you get confirmation from all seniors that they know of the times and of the rules for Dad's night and Senior Night.

Thanks for organizing and being firm on our requests.

Sincerely,

Rick Curtis
